RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

My sympathy to Luke Curadi and Babo on the passing of their father and husband on Sunday. :(

Since Ken Schott has tweeted this https://twitter.com/slapschotts/status/486258898434015232 it is public knowledge, and if I didn't post it today, someone else would. It has also been tweeted by Jim Montgomery https://twitter.com/DUCoachMonty/status/485931845767294976 and others.

That is a real shock. My heart and prayers go out to the Curadi family.

I'm heartbroken over Rich's passing. What a great guy and a true patriot - I'm honored to have known him, if only for a few short years.Thoughts and prayers to Denise and Luke

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

He's likely attending the first SO session, which starts tomorrow.

There's also a summer enrichment program for accepted students. Given that the tweet specifically mentions "math camp" I'd venture that's why he's here so early.

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

Richard J. Curadi, age 58, of Cheshire, entered into rest on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at MidState Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of Denise Paulis Curadi. Richard was born on February 23, 1956 in Copiague, N.Y., son of the late John and Caroline Brandolini Curadi.
Richard served in the military for 32 years, in both the Marines and the Army. He served in Operation Desert Storm as an AH-64 Apache Pilot, survived a helicopter crash in 1991, served three additional tours of duty during the war against terror as a
CH-47 Chinook Pilot, and currently served as a Maintenance Test Pilot in the Connecticut National Guard. He was a member of the VFW in Cheshire and a longtime youth level hockey coach. Richard lived for his family, helicopters, hockey and working out.
Besides his wife Denise, Richard is survived by his son Luke Curadi of Cheshire.
Richard’s funeral will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., Cheshire. His burial will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Defending the Blue Line at www.defendingtheblueline.org <http://www.defendingtheblueline.org/> . Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

Guess which college gives the highest average athletic scholarship http://www.scholarshipstats.com/hockey.html at $41,389/year? (Even higher for the women.)

Interesting that the D-III schools playing D-I hockey are listed as D-I (including RIT but not Union) while the D-II schools playing D-I are listed as D-II.

Interesting. I assume that it is partly that teams with high tuition costs need to provide higher funding for athletes. would be interesting to see what it looks like net of tuition costs.

All of us in one form or another has experienced the graciousness of the Curadi family. I did not know Rich well but he was always at Denise's side cheering on Luke. Rich was always gracious and kind to the fans. Denise is a wonderful woman who has been so great to all of us and she is a strong woman. We grieve with her and Luke. The following prayer is from my Catholic tradition.

Eternal rest grant unto Rich, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

It doesn't actually give a donate button, just who has donated.

There's a DONATE tab on the top right hand corner of the page. Maybe someday you'll stop being a self indulgent delta-bravo and actually contribute something to mankind before they bury you. I'm sorry to be so e f f ing blunt, but I'm just home from a wake for a guy I was proud to know and cannot take an ounce more of your whining BS ...
