You RedHawks fans sure talk a lot. Your offseason drivel thread is longer than our CCT season thread already.

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: 7 Months of Drivel

All the great coaches of our time did not have a particular style that they had their team play as far as X's & O's, as much as they had a particular style of mental preparation. Ability to adapt being one of the key elements. Coaches that used particular styles gave other coaches means to defeat that style. IMO there is a difference between the great coaches and the great innovators.

I wonder what it will be like if we win and attract bandwagon fans like the place a few miles west on Rte. 7. :)

You mean the Achilles High School basketball arena. I'm actually surprised 40% has any fans even now that they are winning. I remember when I used to post here regularly, aweise was the only one who would admit to being a Union fan. As much as we may not get along with each other, I'll at least say that RPI fans are quite die hard, just like CCT fans.

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: 7 Months of Drivel

Just saw GLM tweet that Zalewski is leaving for Vancouver.

Assuming we don't get robbed of Zalewski or Laliberté before next year, we will lose (from 3, 11, 12, 23, 28, 39):

52% of goals.
40% of points.
70% of PPGs.
71% of SHGs.
60% of GWGs.
45% of penalties.
42% of PIMs.

Well ****. Updated:

61% of goals.
49% of points.
70% of PPGs.
100% of SHGs.
67% of GWGs.
54% of penalties.
52% of PIMs.

The two forwards that can actually score are leaving. And both were free agents. I believe this says A LOT about our team's offensive capabilities. That is, the pros don't trust us. Why do none of the defensive players leave early? Drafted goaltenders I can understand.

Also it might show that SA can indeed develop players since they weren't draft quality when they arrived.

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: 7 Months of Drivel

Good grief. Talk about a small lineup now. I'm guessing A-Rod comes this year now.

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: 7 Months of Drivel

Wow. Well, best wishes to those who are going off to follow their dreams. Make us proud! :D

We certainly wish all these guys the best and look forward to seeing them in the NHL.
However, this leaves us really short at the forward position next season. The 2013/14 freshman class are going to get thrown into the fire early and often next season. I hope they were paying close attention while they were sitting this year.
Expectations for next years team has taken a turn for the worse.

I wonder if SA has another recruit ready to sign like Rodriguez two days ago. I doubt it, but we can hope.
