Long time no post.

It will probably be the Ferris games on 10/12 and 10/13. It never snows in October, correct?

Today is 28 July 2012. There are 70 days (10 weeks) until RPI's next game.


This is based upon 6 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

We are always up for seeing you! Will there be any alcoholic beverages present? We temd tp be quite shy and sometimes need a little ethanol to bring down our inhibitions.

Excellent! Looking forward to hopefully seeing RB again & hoping Doc and Miss Jenny can also be there. It's not only a good time to meet some of the posters but I also enjoy meeting the boys' parents as well, especially the freshmens'.

I'll try to coordinate it with Parents weekend again (RB...that may require you to make a 2nd appearance and I'll bring the good weather...) and NOT conflict with any official activities. My guess is Kevin Anderson will be of assistance. I fear that I had a lucky rookie season and this year may not be as seamless as last year (Aspy and TB were the MVP's). As far as bringing stuff? Yes, please do. No categories to distribute, except to say that we are ALL adults and require ADULT sustenance. I will contribute suds and grapes (and a few appy's). If you came last year with really expensive liquids (and you know who you are), you might want to save a buck and go middle shelf instead of top shelf....(that's called 'bar down'...upper doggie bag is always appreciated ON the ice, too)

Homecoming last year didn't have hockey... Parents weekend this year doesn't have hockey... I'm beginning to notice a bit of a trend here... I'm waiting for the few posters that will tongue-lash me for think the 'tute would scratch the hockey program. I highly doubt they'd fork over that much money to renovate HFH, unless they were intending to put another sport there...

To be fair since my freshman year and I assume farther back Parent's Weekend has been the third or fourth weekend of October, and this year the men are home the second weekend, away the third, and off the fourth. The women are away the second weekend, at the HFH for just one game vs. Union the third, and away the fourth. They picked the only weekend in the normal timeframe with ANY hockey - October just doesn't have many home games this year.

My junior year, parents weekend was when we played BU, which was the second weekend, and I believe was also the most recent non-Freakout in which HFH was a sellout. I seem to remember it very commonly being the second weekend. Granted you guys also start your spring semester a week later now, so to quote a popular musical, "Anything goes."
