Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2011: There Will be a Title Here Next Season

Great representation from the board. I spotted RPI's #1 fan Turk, JC, Tom R. and of course tb and myself. In fact, I forget which Senior but one of them thanked Turk in their speech. Turk is the ultimate class act. Unfortunately, no Red Cloud this year. I heard that he was in debrief sessions after his participation in the raid on UBL compound.
Thanks AD. It was Tyler who mentioned me and i was quite stunned by it. I asked Chase, "in which game were you more nervous, N.Dakota or your 1st game w/Peoria". He said they were probably both the same, emotion wise. Then he thought about it and said, now that I think about it, before my 1st game w/Peoria, standing at the bench, the National Anthem started to play and it hit me. All the years, all the people, my dream just one step away....yeah, I guess it was more emotional. I asked Bryce who he expected to be the incoming goalie, Kasdorf or Diebold, he said it didn't matter to him because they'll both have a great seat ON THE BENCH, it's my job now! I liked it!! SA was in "protect mode" when I asked him about it also, so I let it go. Keep the boys in your prayers, in June, twenty of them are heading to Cancun for vacation  I tried convincing Yorkie to consider Disney World or the Grand Canyon instead :)

I don't see how Appert would be able to talk about either Diebold or Kasdorf, becasue neither of them are in the school directory.

Appert's first name is Bryce? When did that change happen?

got it. missed that part. monday morning coffee is still kicking in.

It's alright; I originally thought I had been caught attempting to multi-task. Even I missed it on my first re-read-by.

The school directory is irrelevant to the legality of Appert commenting on recruits. The only thing that affects that, under NCAA rules, is whether or not they have signed a letter of intent.

Just got an email from the best equipment manager in hockey, Dana McGuane and he asked me to inform you all on the thread that the team is selling this year's jerseys with the 50th anniversary patch for $150. His contact info is on the following link http://www.rpiathletics.com/coaches.aspx?rc=598&path=hockey

Many thanks to Charlene for her all inclusive posts. Darn we miss you on the threads. Sorry we missed you at Princeton-we had hoped you were there.:)

Today is 10 May 2011. There are 144 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

Cant believe they're selling off those new Warrior jerseys already. I wonder if the schools contract with them is up and they decided to sign on with someone new for next season. If thats the case I hope they keep the same design. The RPI jersey is one of the nicest looking in all college hockey.

Couldn't agree more. Love the old-school RPI lettering. Simple and awesome.

What do you mean by "Warrior" jersey?

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2011: There Will be a Title Here Next Season

It doesn't get better than when we wear the Cherry and White on the road. They are the sharpest unis in D-1. Dana, also does a great job on the black fri jersey's. He informed me that he wanted to give the RPI thread first crack at getting your favorite #'s.

It's probably because of the 50th anniversary patch. I don't know how the jerseys work, whether they're generally kept for all four years or only used for the one year (obviously in this case it's one year), but we'll likely be going back to what we had for the 09-10 season.
