I started doing this because we weren't posting much in one off-season and the thread kept falling off the front page.

It still goes too slowly for me-although this year is far better than others-we played until March 26th and restart on Oct 1st. For the past many years the off season has been far longer.

Wait until you have to start reminding Ralph to put that countdown up. ;)

For the past few years or so, the wait hasn't been so bad, because we've had a lot to talk about. Whether it's Fire Appert Bedwetters, or players leaving for the pros, whatever, it's been good times.

I took another look at the schedule, and unless we do it the same weekend as the Union series, this UNH game (if true) would end up being either a Sunday game or weeknight. If it's a Sunday, I wonder if ESPNU would be interested...

There's also the week of December 17th, when we usually plop a NC game, typically when we had been playing BU the past couple of years.

If we decide to keep Freakout on that date, it will be your school's first experience with RPI's BRF! (assuming Colgate didn't have a bye on that week one year and your fans just happened to show up).

I'm a little sad that Colgate's going to be the Freakout opponent only because it makes it unlikely that we can play a song or two with their band. With all the alumni back for Freakout and being up in the stands, it doesn't seem like moving the Colgate band up to play with us would work very well. I really liked playing with Colgate this year, their band is great.

As much as we might love their band, I don't think Freakout! is really the best time for Super Band. The steric hindrance is obviously a problem and when we're in Freakout! mode, we're not really friends with the opposing team or their band.

You think you will still be in stands next year or will they have the stage back for you behind the net?

Travel to Hamilton and Ithaca next year. Problem solved.
