I like this one because it is extremely confusing at first glance and looks like it might belong in the Cafe, which is appropriate for the wide ranging course the discussion takes in an offseason thread.

RPI Offseason Thread II: let's have a beer together and chat for awhile


I had been part of a different specialized website and once a year we had what they called a "board party": everyone logged on at the same time and posted back and forth, sort of what we do in a score thread anyway but without the focus on the game.

might we adapt that here?

a summer "tailgate" party on line? likely would not work but wanted to toss out the idea for consideration first before dismissing it out of hand. maybe there's a significant date over the summer related to the program, we could all agree to "meet" here at the same time and chew the fat for awhile.

We could even have a "tasting party" too if people had different adult beverages they wanted to sample. everyone have mixers and a blender handy and share recipes??

When did I ever say it was? People post about how I have these obsessions or quirks they feel that I feel are necessary, yet can't help but talk about me, almost as if they're obsessed with me. And from someone who has put me on ignore, as much as I am well aware of the ability to look at what someone whom you have on ignore posts, it seems very "non-ignoring".

Brett Hull interview tonight between 2nd and 3rd of Ottawa game on CNBC. When asked to comment on Oates and the Caps... "Well... you don't go to RPI if you're stupid."

There's got to be a thread title in that. I'll go with "RPI OSII: Don't post here if you're stupid".

How about a little more sophistication in keeping with Hull's comment.

This is too over the top, maybe someone can catch my drift and find something halfway in between:

Besides, if you are going to include "stupid" in the thread title, I think it is incumbent also to spell out "Rensselaer" along with it, and given how often the school's name has been mangled, I like the subtlety of spelling it out explicitly.

You've heard of subtlety?

How about:

RPI Offseason Part II: Who cares what the thread is subtitled?

I like this one.


It also keeps the word "title" in there, keeping with a theme.
