Not true-there are occassionally a song or two each year that I like. Not as many as back in the 50's (thankfully we have Sirius radio glued to channel 5) or the 60's. But this was one I had heard and it pretty OK. Actually the quote makes me think of a Harry Chapin line in his incredible rendition of 'Taxi'. Harry was a patient of ours way back before his untimely death on the Long Island Expressway in the early 80's. A great talent and a true humanitarian. unfortuantely his songs were usually long so they got little airpaly on the AM radio stations of the day and today's generation mostly have no clue about his music.
FDude-glad i could help you have something swirling in your head. Now just sneeze or something to clear it out and get ready for some hockey.:)

Today's generation doesn't know "Cats in the Cradle"?

I was wrong -- not for the first time. :)

Only 15 (make that 14 ;) ) more posts and we tie last Friday's thread. Will we do it before the game starts? :D

I thought, for a while, maybe some of the ECAC regulars were worried that we either died off or went to our own message board once they saw at the end of the game, we couldn't even get up to 3 pages.

Most of us posted that we were at the game or otherwise occupied.

People are more likely to know songs from "before their time" than from "after their time". (Whatever I meant by that. :D )

Tell me about it. I could give you almost every top 40 song from the mid-to-late 90's but couldn't tell you what's popular today.

OK, now I'm psyched... the pump-up is Daft Punk. Great choice, Tom. Granted I prefer the original, but it's all good.

In the spirit of songs to get pumped up to, I thought this one might fall into that category...a bit of a rocker, so I apologize in advance if it's a bit heavy ;). Go RED!
