RPI @ Miami, 1/2/16 & 1/3/16

Re: RPI @ Miami, 1/2/16 & 1/3/16

They lost to UNH (bottom half of HE) and got shut out 4-0 by lowly Union. Did RPI play those teams? Refresh my memory.

You'll have to excuse the Dud. He looks for any excuse he can find to wallow in self-pity, then shares it with everyone. Kind of his thing.

Feel free to ignore the Cloud, as that's where his head is. No grounding of reality when it comes to that alter ego.

Both Denver and Merrimack are hanging on in the polls despite .500 records. That is likely a hangover from their relative fast starts. RPI is ahead of Merrimack and tied with Denver, I believe in the PWR and has a far superior record against an arguably tougher schedule than either of the other two. I would suspect that the early-season losses set RPI back in most voters' minds and they have not been able to gain much traction, even with the 9-2-3 run since. Polls don't matter much, except in perception and visibility. Potential recruits do look at things like polls and media coverage, and RPI seems to have been slighted a bit in both categories.

That seems right. I just want to see them get some props and/or creds.

Break’s almost over. The boys are on there way to Ohio. Do we see a split in net for the 2 game series (3 games in 6 days)? Does Devito make his season debut? Sure would like to see Viktor get going. RPI GameNotes; http://www.rpiathletics.com/documents/2015/12/31//GameNotes_MIA.pdf?id=2380
Would hope we get a split in goal and save Kazzie for Princeton so i can see him in net. We might need everything we have as Princeton surprisingly played QU tough yesterday but squandered a 3-1 lead and lost.

I would be surprised if the games aren't split.

Went, saw, enjoyed.
Gotta ask, does the RPI coaching staff often throw gum on to the ice? I'm sure the zamboni took care of it, but really strange to see.

Never noticed that. I have a friend who’s a MLB Umpire & after each game he does behind the plate he throws his gum on home plate in remembrance of the late Harry Wendlestadt, his mentor.
