As a side note, it does not surprise me that AHA decided to observe media timeouts. One possible catalyst for this decision: RIT televises ALL of their home games. Perhaps a team complained about an unfair advantage there, and so media timeouts are universal across the league. That would explain why their scores come in late to CHS, though.

Would seem that is something that should be standardized. With hockey being a game of inches and seconds-there is just so much that can give a team an advantage.
I believe that was something that was "practiced" prior to RPI's appearance in the tournament in 2011: 90 second breaks. I don't really have much of an opinion either way because both teams have to play with whatever is chosen for that game, but it does seem to benefit teams that are not as well conditioned, especially in up-tempo games.
