Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

I can't even get excited. This last minute execution takes all the fun out of it.
Two wins and a tournament championship and it is just anti climatic.

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

RPI now goes to 7-3-3 for the season. i would imagine we move up slightly in the national rankings even though we did not play top teams. No quit in this team as they keep finding ways to win. They are building character and confidence. This could be the beginning of something big. We will find out as we see how they handle Brown and yale next week.

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

Can we start bringing in real teams for this tournament again now?

Doubtful-no one out west wants to come here and possibly be upset and get killed in the rankings. We will be fortuante if this tournament just continues in the future and we don't give it up totally.

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

Are they waiting for Price Waterhouse to tabulate the results? ;)

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

RPI gets 5 players on the all Tournament team and wins the MVP

I have never seen that in all the years

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

We almost swept the awards with Polcaek, Helfrich, Bailen, Foss, and York on the All-Tourney team and Brutlag winning the MVP.

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

Stouffville - Christian Finch (powerplay) (Drake Caggiula, Matt Neal) 0:21
Stouffville - Matt Neal (powerplay) (Tyler Ferry, Christian Finch) 2:34

Re: RPI Hoilday Tournament--Bowling Green & RPI

Just in case our guys might be tempted to look at a couple of end-of-December games as easy pickings -

Let it be noted that Alabama-Huntsville won the consolation game, 6-2, over that UConn team that gave RPI fits on Friday night.

I agree... this upcoming road weekend will be something else... no J Kennedy or CJ Lee...
(highly ranked) Yale on Friday and Brown on Friday. Yale will be tough, forget last year's results... and do you remember Brown? Bruno's playing well this season.

Take note: RPI's Home record: 6-0-0 Away: 1-3-2 Neutral: 0-0-1
OT record: 3-0-3... building character and confidence

It was GREAT seeing CJ Lee on the ice following the game. He went out of his way to congratulate his teammates and had a huge grin on his face.
