Keep reading the links and the Poly... this is an important story. On the surface it seems like a new management strategy suffering a rollout problem, hoping few notice what's going on... Par for the course?

Following the money may not the central part of the story (as cash strapped as Institute is, Student Union operating funds/budget are just a drop in the bucket)... but oversight from Student Life/Dean of Students will lead to control of decisions/control of money that was exercised by students for 125 years.

And once student oversight is gone...

I agree, it's a shame the Union and it's operating principles are targeted for homogenization.

On a different topic, sounding like Holy Cross has been lined up quietly to become #12 in HE.
