My daughter had named the last two. We inherited Sirius and Gabrielle under the worst circumstance possible. They are all we have to remember her and you can trust they will be treated like royalty.

Union? Do they have a hockey team also??

Which cat was named for a women's player if it wasn't Gabrielle?

It has been 0 days since RPI won a game.

Thank god.

Now that we are on a mini-roll the post I really want to see is, "Today is April 10, 2015. It has been 91 days since RPI last lost a game."

Let's just continue to become a hard team to play.
Skate our game, be stingy with GA, knock in a few, knock around a few people. We'll be fine.

The fighting captains from county Rensslaer come home to lead their team to victory! Hope they don't venture downtown tonight.

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

It's a new day, and still only two wins. Time to focus on the next team, which won with a similar score to a team that may have also been caught looking ahead to Saturday.

We currently hold 3 belts (ECAC, NY, D-III). Two are up for grabs tonight. Let's defend them well.

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

We won last night and it was a game that we played well enough to deserve the win. Not sure we have played many games better this year. But why is it that we still get called for more penalties than almost any opponent? Normally the team that is being outplayed and out skated is forced to take the majority of penalties, but we seem to get called more even in the games we win and play exceptionally well. Perhaps it is just our style?
Also, really liked the energy that Kenny G added last night, loved having Luke back on defense, felt that although not scoring Nanne/Melanson kept Colgate backed up on almost every shift, and even though the power did not score, we had one shift that had the Raiders skating around in circles. Of course not sure if the same formula will work the same against Cornell which presents an entirely different type of team, but wouldn't it be nice if we have found a bit of rhythm?

Of course, I could start doing it again if (and hopefully when) we win (or even tie) tonight.

FYP Deep Red. Former English major in school.. :)

Want to congratulate RPITV on a great feed of the game last night. Very professional and fair. The best away game broadcast I've seen this season. You have excellent play-by-play guys and professional camera work :)

Sorry 'Gate didn't show up last night, but then again I'm sure it doesn't matter to you folks. You are going to make some noise in the post-season if you play like that.

Did you, by any chance, check out the other feed, which had your radio announcer?

Glad you enjoyed; we do feel spoiled by it. See you in a month or so.

See, this is nice and a major reason to attend college hockey games. Grace is in short supply with certain fans, who despite their team's suckitude, act like they INVENTED the game. Thank you, ColSkate65; you made my day.

RB-Just sent the picture out to Bryan Tapper who is just behind Mike Tamburro in the picture. It was his freshman year. He loved it and said it brings back one of the best memories of his life. Jenny and i were in the stands when the picture was taken and then went out and got totally blitzed at virtually every watering hole in town(I think we started at Goldenberry's and ended up in the Hilton). That game against Princeton was the one at which some Princeton fan tried to get me thrown out for bringing a loud air horn to the game and using it after each of the 5 RPI goals. It has been almost 20 years and this kind of thing is long overdue. If our boys get to LP this year, we will be there.

Ralph: Forgot some of the older cat names-we did also have a Bo but we spelled in Beau. Smartest animal we ever had. He did not enjoy a long life but he was flat out smarter than any other cat we had, way beyond any dog we ever saw, and truthfully probably above most people we have met over the years. While having him we learned for the first time that unlike dogs, cats can indeed see and determine colors and also that their hearing can pick up such high frequencies that are about 5 times higher than ours and perhaps 2-3 times higher than dogs. Amazing animals.

Four point weekend.

Don't those words sound nice rolling off the tongue? :)

Shame we do not get a chance to do this again for 3 weeks now. We are rolling and i would have loved them to play two more weekends like this. Now just hoping next weekend we get out of the game without losing anyone and get back to moving up in the ECAC
