Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

Is this true? According to the WRPI website both games are scheduled to be broadcast (see: http://www.wrpi.org/sports/mh_schedule.html)

I'm 99% sure there is coverage. The last thing they said after the last broadcast was to not freak out if you turn on the radio at 7 and theyre not broadcasting the game because they were not coming on air until 7:15 due to the later start time.

The game notes, linked earlier, on the front page read "Most games heard live on WRPI, 91.5 FM, and www.wrpi.org". The "most" indicates that some games won't be broadcast this season, and this being a long road trip is one of the more likely choices.

OTOH, there apparently will be video coverage at http://stream.nbcsports.com/nbc/.

The regular season is still a day away from starting and we have already surpassed 100 posts.

Go Red.

I get that, however they specifically said they are coming on the air at 7:15. It would be rather strange to for them to do so and not bother to tell us whats going on while they watch.

I agree that it would be strange.

It was not realized until early this week that the personal were not available for this trip. This should be the only time with the issue this year, but you never know. Without a Peer just tweeted stating it was due to a lack of available people.

As the C&W song goes, “....what was I thinkin”......UPDATE: The Adirondack Flames have issued a statement of apology from team president Brian Petrovek about Scorch's introductory skit:

“Earlier today we unveiled our new mascot Scorch. In an attempt to provide background material for the character who will be the face of our team, particularly with young fans, we crafted a story that Scorch was the remaining ember from the tragic fire that destroyed much of Glens Falls in 1864. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on...debut-mascot-with-disturbing-firefighter-skit

I thought the Devil Dawg was ugly....Until I saw Scorch. I'm more offended by the looks of that thing.

One last reminder for PICK TO CLICK! If you're going to play, you have to have picks in before the Minnesota-UMD game at 2 pm ET tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.

I lied. Last, last call! Mostly looking for RHamilton, the only poster from the exhibition week who hasn't entered here yet.

The other piece of news in the game notes is that Vines and Graham have been ACs at RPI for an unknown number of years....bet that'll make them feel special.:p

I am not sure where in the game notes you are referring, but under their pictures on Page 9 it gives the number of years. The problem is that I think that they are wrong. It says it is Vines' 7th year and Graham's 6th year, while I think it is 6th and 5th, respectively.

Edit: You mean page 2. :D

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

With my cherry colored glasses I see a 5th place ECAC finish, decline home ice for a 9th seed, defeat the 8th seed, upset a top 4 seed with a hot goalie. GO RED!!!

What do you expect from a Harvard goalie who could never win the big one?

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

Just watched the Saints football game at RPI, we won btw. However I am extremely impressed with WRPI's quality broadcast. Very nice work.
