RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part III: There Will Be Math Involved

I have only seen Dr.J at the Freakout and Black Friday. I don't go to many games each year, and from talking to students when my own kids were attending RPI, she is only doing what she thinks she needs to do as president, and is not a big hockey fan. But it is good to see her participate.

As a season ticket holder who has been to every home game this year, EHF is correct that she was only at Black Friday and the Freakout. There have been a lot of nights where "the palace" has been empty. And I would love to see the HFH with 4000+ each night. Haven't seen that since the glory days df 84 and 85. Of course, if we could continue to play like we did this past weekend, attendance will certainly have to go up...

Would love to see it-but I fear those days may well never return (not the 84/85 glory days-the days of 4000+ attendance). I don't know all of the reasons but there are just so many things different 30 years later. I am not sure if we go undefeated that the HFH would be full for each game. We have talked about this before and listed all sorts of reasons for it.

Not a game that i ever really took to. Perhaps if it included full contact offense and defense?;)

Doc, stay away from it. Golf is the most frustrating game I ever played, and also, the most addictive.
The fact that you can still get out and play at my age makes it just great.

What a completely different tone on this thread lately. Amazing what 4 straight ECAC League victories can do for our feelings and emotions. For myself i am not asking much-just for us to run the table now and end with 29 points.;)

EHF: I honestly tried to play and to like it. I suppose that it was just bad timing. You really need to concentrate on the game and get all the other things out of your head. Running a busy practice with 48,000 patients and spending 24/7 covering that practice with the most compulsive nurse on earth made it impossible to do. I might try it again-now that i can see would help a lot. My dad was actually pretty good at it-but he and my mom were just natural athletes who could pick up any sport or game and excel.

She only leaves the palace when there is an audience........plus the fact that someone very close to her is a Dartmouth alum.

Truthfully I know precious little about the woman. But my attitude is very simple-if she is good for RPI, then I like her. If she is good for RPI hockey, then I love her.:)
