RPI @ Harvard, Saturday, 3/12/16

Re: RPI @ Harvard, Saturday, 3/12/16

Pretty much a testament to most of our games for the entire season. Slow start, come out pushing, and then just meltdown in the third.
The meltdown that occurs in many games can happen at any time. We have called it the dreaded second or the horrible third. Sometimes it can happen the first minutes out of the dressing room. We have two excellent netminders who are left out to dry in ways that I have not seen occur this often. Just when you think you have seen the worst, they find a new way to cause frustration and angst. This year is certainly not unique but after a while you get sort of numb and just expect it to happen.

Mad props to AspyDad for fighting the good fight despite getting silenced by the man. It's not the same here without you.

Well, that's it. Great season, Red. As much as people here want to pee and moan, it really was an enjoyable season. A couple finishers, and this is a different team. I do have faith for next year, This felt like a different team, so hopefully now with the right mix of kids, RPI is looking to do some special things next year. I don't have lofty expectations, but a first round bye is not out of the question. With Tironese returning, Wiffen starting, and the players still here, it has potential. Captains next year shoud be Bourbannais, withNanne and Wood assisting. It's been a fun ride.
