RPI @ Harvard on Saturday,11/6

Re: RPI @ Harvard on Saturday,11/6

Another RPI goal waved off.

Edit: And a penalty to Burgdoerfer to add insult to injury.

Re: RPI @ Harvard on Saturday,11/6

Funny, I thought if the goaltender had the puck, the puck by extension wouldn't be in the back of the net.

Re: RPI @ Harvard on Saturday,11/6

RPI defense doing their job as they have virtually the entire early season. We do however seem offensively challenged tonight. One off the post and two waved off but no consistent pressure as yet.

Re: RPI @ Harvard on Saturday,11/6

My theory is that, once a puck goes into the net, even if the goal is not officially counted, the goalie loses his aura of invincibility and will then start giving up goals that count.

Now, if we could just convince Harvard's goalie that my theory is valid...;)

I wonder what the record is for most goals waved off in one game?

Unusual stat. Dubuque (Curadi's team) is leading Indiana 2-0 after 1 period. Both goals were shorthanded.
