Re: RPI@Harvard 2/28/2020

Good call on the BMW doc. :D

The boys are bringing it tonight. LGR

We have had a boat load of German cars (i think 28) and this will actually be our first BMW. Pretty much because by the time we could afford a model we wanted, none of them came with the aforementioned spare tire. Now others are doing the same and most people think that having a cell phone can get you out of danger if you blow a tire. Until and unless it happens to you, a spare tire just seems like extra weight.

Re: RPI@Harvard 2/28/2020

Someone please tell these idiot Harvard announcers to check the line chart for the proper pronunciation of Kjellberg. Then someone should educate them on the history of hockey at RPI (which they don't think can compare to Harvard's illustrious past).

Not everyone can be WRPI ;) :D

What did you get? I have an 08 535 6-speed and a 13 X5. The 6-speed is still sheer joy :D

Re: RPI@Harvard 2/28/2020

Dr. D must be thrilled to hear the Harvard announcers describe RPI as "a big physical team that is pushing Harvard around."

Waiting on a M340 Xi with every conceivable option. Jenny finds she can get the seat up high without hitting her head on the visor while still reaching the pedals. it has a rather small steering wheel so she can adjust her position easily without it being in the way. Of course the 382 HP is a bit of a bonus!! Actually a tad faster than my new Audi SQ5. Not sure how it will compare with our other Audi S6. Single best car we ever had was her 1996 Audi A-4. Lasted 23 trouble free years and was just the absolute best handling bad weather car invented. Got us through snow and ice that most other cars were off the road. The manual shifted like a knife through butter. held the road like it was on rails. Not the most powerful car but I would rate that up there with my Porsche 911 in everything but the power.

We are a bit heavier per man. Harvard is a bit taller on average. Neither of these teams would I ever consider big. Union is big, Clarkson is big. One of my complaints has always been that even when we recruit some of the bigger boys, they often do not play big. There is a big difference in my mind between being big and playing big. We have had some boys over the years that are simply rocks. They hit and you can hear the hit was delivered. They hit and the other guy bounces back or goes down. The trick for us is to play that way and not get called (Luke Curadi could hit but often he was called for a penalty by the sound alone!)

Re: RPI@Harvard 2/28/2020

Looks like 2 power play goals given up will sink Union against Dartmouth now up 5-3 late. As usual, we get very little help late in the season from anyone. Just have to take charge and make our own history.

Re: RPI@Harvard 2/28/2020

Quinnipiac just took the lead on Brown about 3/4 of the way through the 3rd, so we should expect no bailouts. Brown still has some time, but we should probably now assume that we must win if we want the bye.

Re: RPI@Harvard 2/28/2020

Quinnipiac wins against Brown and clinches a bye. We must win to have a chance at 4th.
