RPI @ Harvard (12/30/14)

Re: RPI @ Harvard (12/30/14)

Least of Harvard's worries is playing RPI

I don't think Harvard (or anyone in the ECAC) is in a position to take anyone lightly. The league is generally very tight top to bottom, and while Princeton and Brown may be a notch below this year, RPI is certainly not. RPI has struggled with health so I'm not sure the league has seen RPI's best.

I know that Harvard had some success in Troy earlier in the season, but I'm not sure if RPI was similarly injured at that point in time.

Good Woman doesn't always work. After the Friday Michigan game, even FlagDUDETTE couldn't make me feel better.
When it comes solely to RPI hockey, in the past 40+ years there was only one weekend that Jenny knew she could not make me feel better. March 1984 in Troy against North Dakota. I was suicidal. There just was no positive thoughts in my head. (But i did discover Tequila Rose at one of the local establishments-I think it was the Castaways). Other times over the years there have been some bad times, but that weekend meant a clear shot at the national title with a team that I felt was just going to win it all.

Re: RPI @ Harvard (12/30/14)

RPI getting Harvard at a perfect time. Harvard was arguably the hottest team in the nation and will be coming off of a 3+ week break and will be rusty. On the plus side, let's hope Harvard gets back Kerfoot who missed the last weekend vs Quinny and Princeton.

Maybe. We've got the exhibition game against the Russian Red Stars two days prior to RPI. And I'm sure the coaching staff will have the boys practicing on Friday and Saturday before the Sunday night game. I hope Kerfoot is back - Blackwell too for that matter.

RPI will have been off the ice for two weeks so I'm not sure how much of an advantage they'll have in terms of rust over Harvard.
