I sure hope that Smith knows what he is doing with Marshall. This weekend could make it very tough on him for the rest of the season.

It could.

As I recall, RPI gave up 14 goals in two games against Western Michigan in February 2020. Owen Savory may not have been on the ice for all of those, but he must have been for most of them. He rebounded well enough to post an 0.50 GAA over the last four games of the regular season and make RPI a team to be feared going into the ECAC playoffs - if they had ever gotten to play a game in those playoffs.

We can only hope that Marshall will rebound as well as Savory did.
 
Miller was suited up at the game. Is he injured? If not, doesn't keeping Marshall in this game wreck the confidence of both goalies? Very puzzling.

Of course the defense left Marshall out to dry on most of the goals.

Unless he was injured getting off the bus or the like, they would have brought Watson along instead. I do agree with you.
