it might be easier if the rule really was who gets to the dot first.. that is not the new icing rule.. if the D gets there first its a pretty easy call. if the offense gets there they also have to have enough of a lead that they can make a play on the puck which is more than just touching it..

we should also not assume that a no goal call means it didnt go over the line.. i would lay odds no review took place

It's not so much that the 5th penalty gave Cornell a chance to score as it is that is wastes 2 precious minutes that we will not get any chance to tie this one up
