Huge win for Cornell. I have a feeling RPI is going to get theirs back in spades at HFH. Night all, good luck in Hamilton.

Comments on TW3:
RPI has two wins, two ties in last ten trips to Central NY
RPI has two wins in ten games when it scores less than three goals. No losses when scoring three or more.
RPI had five shots on three power plays. Cornell outshot RPI 10-4 in third.

From a somewhat objective perspective:

- No flow to the game whatsoever - bad penalties, TV TOs, after the whistle mayhem, and ~25 icing calls
- Brutlag was simply thrown into the boards backwards and appeared to be out cold for 90 sec or so.
- RPI gave the puck away in its own zone repeatedly, allowing 2 unassisted goals. Evidently thought they could outskate a forecheck.
- CUs size was overwhelming around the net
- A few times RPI's speed had CU gassed and on the ropes, CU would ice the puck, and attempt to sneak onto the bench. Schaeffer used his TO allow the team to catch its collective breath. Had RPI been able to capitalize once, game would have been very different.

Agree with all of this. I've never seen a team be outplayed and win 5-1 before. RPI made a ton of mistakes and we capitalized. Schafer's TO was huge. This was a very important win for Cornell after what happened in Florida, and showed enough poise to take what they were given. A young team reacted very well to a tough challenge, doubly since the guys were obviously very concerned about Ben Nicholls (who is stable after two seizures).
