RPI @ Cornell - Friday, 1/14

Re: RPI @ Cornell - Friday, 1/14

Women: 1-0 Cornell after one. Goal scored with 22.5 left in period. Bad goal as we gave up a breakaway late after a very even first period on the whole.

Kind of flat early, looks like last Friday.

Cornell seems to always have the puck so far.

Re: RPI @ Cornell - Friday, 1/14

On a lighter note, there has been a notable improvement in the use of the video scoreboard since last week. The penalties are now overlaid on a background of the teams' logos rather than a generic black screen. There are little video blurbs for each of the Engineer players and static images with names/positions/class years for the Cornell players. They've worked in the ECAC standings to the rotation during intermission.

Also, it feels like it's about 40 degrees in the rafters of the Field House. Probably has something to do with it being 7 outside.

Update on Nicholls: Journal is reporting that he collapsed in the locker room pre-game. He's been taken to the hospital for observation but was alert.

Re: RPI @ Cornell - Friday, 1/14

Women: 3-0 Cornell just 1:08 into the second. 2nd goal a rocket over SvdB's shoulder, third a SLOW, SLOW wraparound that I have no idea what SvdB was doing on. Staring in the opposite direction while they scored it. RPI calls timeout.

Re: RPI @ Cornell - Friday, 1/14

Women: 3-1 now with 11:00 left in 2nd as Jakubowski banks a shot off the Cornell goalie from behind the net and in.

Re: RPI @ Cornell - Friday, 1/14

Women: 4-1 Cornell now after van der Bliek makes several big saves but the last one goes in top shelf.
