RPI @ Cornell 2/27/16

Re: RPI @ Cornell 2/27/16

Then if that is true, why have we not worked on it? We have been horrible for years. I believe winning faceoffs is the man who takes it and the entire team around him fighting for the puck. We do not do either well.

Doc, there are two components to learning anything; faceoffs, medicine, cooking.... a willing student, and a capable teacher. Who on staff fills the latter role?

Re: RPI @ Cornell 2/27/16

The players whom I have picked for our opponents in the PtC have now scored three straight goals.

Re: RPI @ Cornell 2/27/16

My thoughts exactly. There's a need for goalies - I wouldn't be surprised if his rights get traded or an obstacle is removed for his path to the NHL...
There are a lot of possibilities and the trade deadline is approaching. Nothing would surprise me this year as many teams are looking to move players before the playoff run

Re: RPI @ Cornell 2/27/16

Then again shouldn't they have learned something about faceoffs before arriving in Troy?
Years ago when we were following DM at Delbarton HS, they had two kids who seemed to win about 75% of all faceoffs. Unfortunately it was not Drew.

It's like anything else - if you stop learning, you're in trouble.
SS-You hit the nail on the head before. The same goes for our inept power play numbers most years. it is not the boys. They change every year with complete turnover every 3-4 years but the results have been the same now for a decade.
