Probably missed the pronunciation guide. Jericho will probably have to confirm this, but I'd guess the commentators do overnight prep so they're able to call player names just by seeing a number, and just stick with what they practiced.

I guess that Clarkson's broadcaster didn't read the pronunciation guide on RPI's lineup chart.
