RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Two crossbars and one post or this one would have been put away easily. We do find ways to make every game a nail biter.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Finals: Colgate- Brown 1-1 and Yale and Cornell with a scoreless tie.
And the OT streak ends at 4 games. Whew.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

A win is still a win but this one was just not satisfying. We have not been able to stop those third period meltdowns but we have not lost in 7 games and we just have to get out of here and get home for UNH.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Whew! Sat on another one. Not good for my heart. We turned a potential laugher into a nail-biter, but I'll take it.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Not as artistic as we might have hoped, but it results in RPI's first seven-game unbeaten streak since the 2010-11 season.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

So RPIs record win streak is safe for another season
A win streak that should have been longer. We sat back and played for a tie in the second Lake Superior game since it was a total goals series and we did not need to press for a win.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Just got back from the game. We had as many fans at the game as Benley. Very small rink with seats on only one side of the rink.
The team played a great game for two periods. They pushed the play and won the battles. Hackett was very good.
In the middle of the third period we lost focus and Bentley started to push back. We gave the puck away in the defensive zone and gave Bentley a few point blank shots at Hackett. He came up big. Thanks to him, we came away with a win. They played fifty minutes and got away with it.
I will take the two points and move on.

To Middletown in less than an hour?

No, Ralph, I am visiting my son, and we had a really good time at the game.
Dosen't the NCAA have rules about the size of the arena for Div 1 schools.
Also, the ice surface seemed a bit smaller than HFH.
Doc would have loved it, the student section had at least as many female students as male, and it they were all easy on the eyes.
//all in all, a very good night.
