RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

I could probably give Jennie a run for her money there. I got banned from Jeopardy at all of my friends and family's houses. Afterwards, Jennie can buy us dinner.
What always amazes me is that although i can answer most of the scientific and mathematical and geography and history-she gets all the obscure stuff that no one should ever know. It is simple, she reads everything. The weirder the category, the more she knows.

Re: RPI @ Bentley, Friday 11/20/15

In years past, RPI lacked the depth to hang with alot of teams. RPI seems to not only have depth, but there doesn't seem to be much of a talent drop-off from line to line.

Jeopardy is VERY literature heavy. Hence why I'm awful with it.

No question we have deserved both penalties and this second one probably stopped the best chance for Bentley. But there have been a few times Bentley has just been allowed to interfere that could have been called.

If SA keeps these lines together (and healthy) each has its own personality. The MNM line has a very decent face off man to win the draw pared with lightning. They just seem to back other teams up and have them on their heels more.

When they get to the art categories I am totally stumped. However my sister studied art history so if I ever got on the show I would have her signal me from the audience :>

Mennen seats 2,500, so this place (1,200?) is about half their capacity.
Jen and i spend considerable time at Baker Rink in Princeton and we find that a very small rink (seating a bit over 2000). At least on video this place seems less than half of that also

ECAC action:
Colgate leads Brown 1-0
SLU leads Princeton 1-0
Cornell and Yale are scoreless
Clarkson leads QU 1-0

All after one period

I am only OK with older literature topics. Anything recent and I pass. Same with music and TV shows. I am still stuck in the 50's 60's and 70's.

My education was of course skewed. Life experience helps some with other topics. But Jenny not only reads, she remembers what she reads. She has her weak areas, but she is truly the history buff in the family and anything from ancient Egypt, Rome, or British history (especially the Tudors) i am no match for her.
