RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

Hands Yale a goal, two dumb penalties, another dumb turnover...
Well if you've been paying attention in the 3rd period, you'd realize that Y had been cheap shooting our forwards after the whistle...and Curadi sent the message with less than a minute to play...exactly what he should have done. Yale whiffs on the PP.

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

We may have just witnessed the turn around for the season. The talent was there all along. Now let's carry this into tomorrow against a team that plays an entirely different style and frustrates you.

Lets hope so. They played well last weekend , could have won both games. Looks like that has carried over. Great to see that they kept plugging away and didnt get down on themselves. Kasdorf looks solid.

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

If you had told me that we would play a game with 16 penalties called for 32 minutes-and win 6-1 I would have thought you were crazy. The boys worked hard for this and deserve it. What i just cannot fathom after watching and playing hockey for 60 years-why do we just match up so well in the past few years with a very good Yale team? And yet we just cannot do this against so many other teams.

Yale did help out a bit-many shots taken were just straight at him-but he does present a big target and take sup a lot of the net. I agree-he just plain looks solid and should see a lot of ice time until proven otherwise.

Most ECAC teams clutch and grab. Yale doesn't. That's why.

Amen to that. When a game gets out of reach like that you can't let the other guys take liberties. Good penalty to take.

Well if you've been paying attention in the rest of the game, you'd realise that Curadi was making dumb plays that Coach doesn't accept no matter how the rest of the team plays.

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

You didn't, he's just being an jackarse again.

Luke did what you just have to do-at 6'5" and 255 you have to let the other team know that if they take some liberties with our guys-we are going to let you know that we don't like it. Luke did have one giveaway earlier that led to a goal-but he is just otherwise rock solid and we will need him at Brown tomorrow.

Apparently you didn't watch Bailen last weekend, if thats the logic you're going with.

Thumbs up! Kudos to DrD for his comment, too. Nice turnaround night for our red... now for tomorrow's afternoon game. I'll be joining you in progress... I have a 4 pm commitment tomorrow.;)

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

Just have to say that i will be watching a lot of Yale hockey from here on in-like the color girl a lot-she adds a lot to the scenery;) And if Jenny sees this thread-I am a dead man for sure.

Exactly right Doc. If we start benching d-men who have turnovers, it'll be Kasdorf vs. the world.

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

Call me a cynical ******* if you must, one of the few people that can nitpick about 6-1 win. The only time we don't have something to improve is if we win the NC.

Doc c'mon. She's great to look at, but brutal to listen to. Not the first time I've said that about a girl.. remind me to tell you about the personal trainer I used to date....:D

Re: RPI at Yale (Fri. 12/7)

I am speechless. And I hope this is a turnaround point to our season. When I see Coach Appert in about a month's time, that may come into conversation.

I'd rather not waste his time and instead have him lead the boys to beat Princeton :)
