RPI at St. Lawrence, 2/6/15

Re: RPI at St. Lawrence, 2/6/15

That was only our third shot of the period. So the answer is we played for 20 minutes. Is it lack of talent or lack of effort or lack of conditioning?

Re: RPI at St. Lawrence, 2/6/15

I just heard we lost-I had asked jenny to try to count the face offs won and lost and she had a hard time doing it(not sure sometimes when it is a win or a loss). She stopped counting when we were down something like 25 to 12. She also just said we are the absolute worst team ever once we pull the goaltender. We cannot seem to control the puck and create any sort of offense when we have pulled Kasdorf. Normally she is always finding something positive even when we lose. But pretty much said this one should have been far worse and that 3-1 does not describe how badly we were outplayed. Glad i missed it.

Mostly the lack of offensive talent. And it doesn't help that we played against the ECAC goalie of the month for January.

2-1 Clarkson over RPI. GREAT effort by RPI, outplayed the Knights, unfortunately couldn't find the puck luck.

Re: RPI at St. Lawrence, 2/6/15

Sadly that just about does it for any slim hopes of a first round ECAC bye. Now our only hope is to somehow hold on to home ice in the first round.

It's definitely a part of it. I think either Lenoard or Bradley had a chance to really step into a shot on that 3rd period power play with forward skating momentum well inside the blue line, instead he dished it off to his partner who wasn't really moving, and was about 3 or 4 feet behind him. Hockey sense.

Finally back. I-81 closed in the Tug Hill due to a multi-car accident! (on the way up; just fine coming back)

We were INCREDIBLY sloppy in the defending area, a lot of it seemed like we were playing too tightly. The second goal we FINALLY got what the team has been practically asking for. Where's the one place you NEVER want to clear the puck? If it weren't for puck luck, we would have lost that 7-1.

Surprisingly enough, I liked the effort in the attacking zone (when we were there). Great patience in looking for the good shot, limited number of times the forwards blocked shots (not perfect, but sometimes it's going to happen), even though the puck wasn't finished, it looked like a good setup. Luke playing on the PP and screening is just plain fun to watch. We're definitely getting some improvement there; perhaps too little too late?
