i think we were the same team in both periods so far - the results may have been different but the play was very much in favor of SLU. We looked a step slower as the second period wore on and perhaps the 5th period up north has taken some energy out of us. Will need to play far better defense in the third to have a chance to pull this one out.
 
Taking someone out of the play with a good hit is not interference, if he has touched the puck
 
That penalty on Smolinski was one of the worst penalty calls I have ever seen. Interference after hitting the guy with the puck. Even the SLU commentators were saying that definitely wasn't a penalty.
 
It was a terrible call by a ref that wasn’t in position to see the puck. The other ref or linesman should have told him the puck was under the check recipient.
 
It has been an odd game. But would be nice to get one here and come away with a rare north country sweep
