A win is a win, and I will take it. But we have to understand that we should have blown out Mercyhurst both nights.

Of course you are correct and i agree but it is becoming increasingly clear that the glaring weakness which has cost us games and will cost us many more is our performance with special teams. Especially short handed. This weekend we gave up a power play goal in each game to a team that simply put, we should have been able to beat more easily. Special teams play and defense in general destroyed us last year. Personally I think we have taken some steps to improve a little on overall defense and a bigger step on offense. But we are not showing any better at defending short handed. Until and unless we can change that, we will not be able to complete with the better teams.
