RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

And referred to her as your majesty. I wonder if RPI is still providing her security so nobody will attack this random women nobody cares about?
I did see a car in traffic the other day with an SAJ *** vanity plate and wondered if it was from her fleet. A gent was driving....no sign of Ms. Daisy. LOL

They're welcome to her. (Apologies Doc....you're guilty by association). LOL
I am not in any way a Jersey boy. Born in NY, raised there and in Tennessee. Only came to NJ to practice medicine but look for every excuse to be somewhere else. If not for residency requirements placed on an active medical license would be out of here before you can blink your eyes.

RPI football with the loss to Union is not in the NCAA tournament. But they have earned an ECAC Bowl game appearance next week on the road at St. John Fisher. We have traditionally done very well in these bowl contests and hopefully could do that again as I suspect we might be the favorite in this one.
Hockey odds are not going to be as favorable. The girls are home to Colgate and then Cornell and each game has us as at least 2.5 goal underdogs. Should be more than that but don't often see then offering steeper odds on NCAA division I games.
The boys are on the road against the same teams and are currently listed as underdogs to Colgate by 1.5 goals and Cornell by 2.5 goals. i have seen Cornell on TV and the number sounds about right but could be a bit higher. Colgate is a mystery to me as I have not seen them but others who have say this might be an off year for their program.

This has me lost. Does anyone have a clue what her connection to Jersey is, if any???

According to her Wikipedia page, she taught at Rutgers from 1991-1995 and received the Thomas Edison Science award from the NJ Governor. Apparently you can get into the NJ Hall of Fame by just visiting the state for a couple hours 😂

Doesn't really leave a long list of candidates with Eddie Arcaro and Willie Shoemaker both gone.

I saw an item on the NJ Hall of Fame website indicating that Dr. Jackson's contributions at Bell Labs led to her nomination. As I understood it, something about contributing to development of push button applications in telephones.

Will we ever be done with Shirley?
This team has played .500 hockey in the last three weeks.
I have new respect for the new coaches, as we have outplayed our talent.
The play on the ice is far superior to that of last years team.
Even the special teams are improving.
If we can keep improving, the second half of the season is looking good. JMO

Simple answer - when you have 20 years of destruction some can simply walk away from it. others call attention to it so it never, ever happens again! And yes, the team is on the right course, being steered by the right commander in chief, with an administration that cares very much about the program and the school overall.

Talk about low mombo stick bar. How about supposedly Jersey native Snooki (remember her). Is she going in too???

Admin has a long way to go on putting butts in seats.

Red Zone, the podcast that has not been carried on, more promotions for students to go, renovations to the rink, real marketing for games, i can go on and on.

BUT, it still can't be a chore for students and locals to go and that comes down to winning. Lang will correct that, but help from the athletic dept could help him with it as well

Did you help recruit our two players from Tennessee? :D

St. John Fisher's website lists the start time for Saturday's game as noon.

The Cardinals are 7-3, same as RPI. Both teams lost badly to Utica but each won a close game against Brockport. The one common-opponent result that looks favorable for the Engineers was against Rochester, to whom St. John Fisher lost, while RPI beat the Yellowjackets by four touchdowns.

W21- Very difficult to find any sort of odds on this one. Seems these last minute ECAC bowls were not on many radar units. The only one I can find is that we are a 9.5 point favorite. You are absolutely correct about common opponents and the results but I had thought both teams had played St. Lawrence also. This has been a surprisingly good season for us and we were within range of turning around one of our losses (Ithaca) which might have changed the ending of this season even if it only moved this ECAC Bowl game to our home field.
