RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

We could have used this vs. Cornell. https://chl.ca/whl/gamecentre/1022728/ See 6:09 in the embedded video.

Some comments. This shootout went 14 rounds. Kamloops first shooter JP Hurlbert who missed is expected to go in the first round of the 2026 NHL draft. The second who also missed, Tommy Lafreniere, was a 3rd round choice of Edmonton last year.

RPI recruit Josh Evaschesen also scored a goal at about 2:40 of the video..

RPI is slowly getting into the merch game. Wish I could've attended the games this weekend to try and win a jersey but at least they offering Mayors Cup clothes with the logo.

I know this isn't hockey-related per se, but it has always been a pet peeve of mine that RPI doesn't push cool merch more for their...checks notes...only D1 sport which is arguably the face of the school. I am going to put my money where my mouth is on this one and buy some schwag.

Did anyone else notice that Russell left the game after a hard hit and never returned? I believe it happened in the second period.

Agree - back in the 80's there was a ton of stuff available both at the Student Union Bookstore and at the games. When the RPI Invitational/Christmas Tournament was going well, the 3 visiting school brought stuff to be sold at the games also. Jenny has sweat shirts and pins from most of the schools that compete.

How would everyone here assess year 1 under Lang? Real chance for 10 wins, recruiting at a level we haven't seen in a decade, close calls in Mayors Cup, Cornell, etc.

Hard not to be really excited about where the program is going. I only hope the HFH renovations really take off and aren't just something that is "in the works" forever
