Attended both games. I thought they skated hard and displayed all the attributes I look for (team spirit, support for each other, hard work, and perseverance. Despite the two losses I enjoyed watching them play. I don’t see them winning too many games. Mainly because they suffer from the same thing that ails the men’s team: inability to put the puck in the net.
Also as mentioned earlier, my wife and I feel it is not fair , nor demonstrating school spirit, for us to get into women!s games for free. I asked AD Bowers how to donate to ensure the money goes to the women’s program and she displayed how to do it on her cell phone. I went home and donated $200 to the program. I think there are 14 or 15 home games and paying roughly half what the men’s games cost seems absolutely reasonable to me.
