The schedule should be coming out any day now. Two years ago it was released on June 15th, and last year it was released on June 11th. In each of the last 2 years, the incoming freshman class has been announced on June 27th, so we should know that in about 2 weeks.
Recruit announcements:
06/27/18
06/26/17
07/14/16
05/19/15
06/12/14
07/15/13
07/19/12
07/25/11
05/24/10
05/06/09
06/17/08
04/25/07
05/15/06
06/13/05
11/17/04 a bit late
2003 missing
07/18/02
This is quite comprehensive. I may be wrong, but I believe the head coach decides when to announce the schedule and recruiting class. So I think the last 2 years are more relevant since that's all we have to go off of for Smith. Although, the rest of the years were from mostly Appert and it doesn't look very consistent, so who even knows I guess. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later
I have been adding to this every year since about 2010. I didn't compile that now. The last two are indeed much more relevant..

Hmmm....Would bringing in another Canisius/Atlantic Hockey guy be a good thing or a bad thing?
With the other assistant being exclusively a pro coach (and non-varsity college player) prior to this season and the HC being a former college forward and long-time Canisius coach, I'd prefer to see some more diversity of experience and contacts. Canisius doesn't get many kids from the USHL. That was one of the things Jewell brought to the table. Then again, it seems everyone just wants to recruit U16s these days so maybe that need isn't as great as it was a few years ago.At first thought, I don't like it, but the basic question is if he can coach well and recruit well. He was the Captain of Canisius, so that is a plus.

I had heard from someone at RPI that WMU was on this year's tentative schedule. I assumed from the context of the conversation that it was a home series for RPI but I didn't probe for detail, so that might be wrong. It looks like both programs have an open date from league play on Feb 7/8.
The question is whether he was the only applicant...<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Word going around that Scott Moser is one of the top candidates to land the open assistant position at RPI.</p>— Mike McMahon (@MikeMcMahonCHN) <a href="https://twitter.com/MikeMcMahonCHN/status/1139298736427929606?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 13, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
