USCHO article dated 4/19/06 when SA was hired http://www.uscho.com/2006/04/19/rensselaer-names-appert-head-coach/. It mentions that Dan Fridgen quit on 3/21/06. I didn't realize that it took less than a month to hire SA. Does it usually go that fast?

I confided in Ralph earlier this season that I would be leaving this board until such time as we replaced the coach. Well I'm back. Never happy to see someone lose a job but this was well past the expiration date. I wish SA all the best in his next venture, I'm sure he will land on his feet. He may be a nice guy from all I have read with his community service, but he was not a good hockey coach. Now hopefully we can find the right someone who can get the players to congeal as a team rather than a helter-skelter of individuals. Here's hoping to soon see the boys skating at Lake Placid and beyond . . . .
