RPI 2017 Off-Season: We March 4th into the Future

Re: RPI 2017 Off-Season: We March 4th into the Future

I confided in Ralph earlier this season that I would be leaving this board until such time as we replaced the coach. Well I'm back. Never happy to see someone lose a job but this was well past the expiration date. I wish SA all the best in his next venture, I'm sure he will land on his feet. He may be a nice guy from all I have read with his community service, but he was not a good hockey coach. Now hopefully we can find the right someone who can get the players to congeal as a team rather than a helter-skelter of individuals. Here's hoping to soon see the boys skating at Lake Placid and beyond . . . .

Appert got that big extension so he wouldn't jump to Denver in 2o13. Appert had been at DU and Montgomery had been at RPI. Think Pioneers won the coaching Derby with Monty.

If they want to go the former Engineer route what about Kirk MacDonald?

Re: RPI 2017 Off-Season: We March 4th into the Future

Have we ever actually fired a hockey coach before? I don't think so.

Oh please. If Union and Yale can win "in modern era of college hockey," so can RPI.
