Didn't it take until about September last year to get a roster as well? I assume they would have numbers and such until school starts...

I think that the numbers are assigned earlier since the jerseys have to be ordered. Also, on occasion, I have seen incoming players mention their numbers before they arrive on their Twitter pages. The reason that I want the numbers is of course so that I can write "In honor of ..., today is ..."

That was of course the first thing which crossed my mind, but it is also possible that he just went to camp and they didn't want him to play. It does, however, put into further question if he will be available at the start of the season.

I watched part of the Sens full red-white scrimmage. Announcer mentioned two kids of the 40 attendees who "did not take the ice at all". We can only hope he's strong/healthy enough to skate this fall...but it confirms my fears when I saw him on crutches at McElroys pizza party this spring.

Burgess wasn't on crutches at the Pizza party. Hayhurst was on crutches.

Yeesh. Here's hoping that our players are at least able to stay healthy this year. We've had a LOT of injuries in the past few years.
