Re: RPI 2017-18 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

In an article posted almost six months ago, according to the ever-reliable "sources who asked not to be identified," RPI's next opponent, Buffalo State, could be joining the Liberty League in football during 2018. If true, this would enable the league to retain its automatic bid for the NCAA playoffs.

The Bengals finished last year with the same 5-5 regular season record as RPI. They have won their first two games this season by scores of 20-19 and 53-48, with QB Kyle Hoppy throwing game-winning TD passes in the fourth quarter each time.

Thanks for the link. Very informative. I knew Clarkson did not sponsor a foot ball team which puts them in the company of Bard, Skidmore and Vassar.
Interesting that without sponsoring a football team, they have won as many NCAA football championships as they have NCAA hockey championships.;) Had to get that posted as old rivalries die hard!!

Ralph, by the way you're overdue for telling the football fans to take it on over to the pigskin thread ! DROP THE PUCK! 😜

That being said , the Chargers -with a 1st year coach - have a kicker who is 1 for 4 after 2 weeks. (One miss would've won the game vs Fins.) That's a recipe for a one way ticket to the lumber yard! Call Franks!

I really only complain when people post things not about recruits on the recruit thread. Every once in a while I pick on posts here about alums, but not often anymore. I have posted here about Franks myself.

Just saw an e-mail... ANOTHER hostile takeover attempt of the Student Union?!

Not one penny until she's gone.
