8. The Clarys (Lindsey, Lonnie and Tyler)
Tyler Clary is one of the area’s most decorated swimmers. He won four section titles and a pair of Masters titles while swimming at Riverside Poly. Clary was a three-time NCAA champion at Michigan and was selected the 2009 College Swimmer of the Year. His crowning achievement came at the 2012 Olympics when he won gold in the 200-meter backstroke. Lindsey Clary is a standout swimmer at Ohio State and won the 400-meter individual medley title at the 2014 short course national championships. Lindsey finished eighth in the 400 IM at the recent U.S. Olympic trials, and she is considered a rising star in open water swimming. Lonnie Clary is a hockey player who currently plays for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
