Sadly, if Kurt Stutt or any of the other WRPI announcers is inducted into the RPI Athletic HOF, there will be no such quote. :D ;)

Seriously, have any WRPI announcers ever been inducted into the RPIAHOF? I don't think so.

I just noticed that the RPI directory http://rpinfo.rpi.edu/directories.html has been updated to remove the seniors and promote people from one class to the next (e.g., junior to senior). I checked to see which players did not advance. There are a few, mainly from the class of '19 which may not have been completely updated -- I won't name them.

What else I noticed is that Lonnie Clary is missing. Does anyone know if he has left RPI, or is this just a glitch in the directory?


Edit: To save time for everyone who has not already looked -- yes, Wiffen is listed as a soph. :)

I hope this email finds all of our friends and members of the RPI Hockey Family well and looking forward to the summer.

Please hold the date for our annual RPI Men’s Hockey Golf Outing, which will be held on Monday, August 8 at the Shaker Ridge Country Club.

It has been great to see this event grow into something very special over the years. It is your support that has made this such a wonderful day and our program is appreciative of that.

I am looking forward to seeing many of you again in August. Have a great summer and we will follow up with further details as the day moves closer.

This is done programatically based on credits once each semester. Freshman who transfer in with ample credits (from AP, IB, or Community College classes) frequently will show as Sophomores after the first semester. Conversely, if a freshman with no transfer credits doesn't take two full course loads, they'll remain a "First-Year student".

I assume the credit breakdown would be 0-31 Freshman, 32-63 Sophomore, 64-95 Junior, 96-128 Senior.

Aren't there programs that require fewer that 128 credits in total? If so, you could be on track but listed as being in a year behind.

I saw the WaP news on Brad Tapper and took a quick look at the Amerks' roster. I see they also have a Prapavessis. Must be a small world. :rolleyes:

Wonder if any of the incoming frosh have interest in calling games? With shoutcasting being popular in the gaming world, it might be possible. Wonder if there's any recruiting happening through accepted students chats, or something planned with NRB...

Obviously we were spoiled with Tim Heiman for 4 years.

Sorry to burst everyones bubble, but AspyDad and I have been in negotiations with WRPI to be the announcers for all RPI games. Everything is looking good for us to go live this season. Buccigross and Melrose have nothing on us, in fact we may bring Barry on as a intern to learn the ropes.

Red Nation is going to love Aspy's take on the college game especially his spot on critique of ECACHL officiating, and as we all know Aspy and Melrose are golfing buddies so he would be a welcome addition to the organ I zation !!!
