About time that I respond to this myself. I agree about Grant, Moore, Ohrvall, Tironese, and Clary. 10 for Rodriguez, 11 for Wiffen, and 1 for Hackett.

Definitely agree with you on number 1 for Hackett. So all we disagree on is Rodriguez and Wiffen. We should find out soon.

I don't look in on this thread as often as I do during the hockey season, so forgive me if this has already been posted.
As per the RPI alumni magazine, John Carter will be the next inductee to the "Ring of Honor" this coming season.
I was not around for the Championship season and never got to see John play, but he sure had some great numbers.
Congratulations to John. Can Darren Puppa be far behind?

And although Puppa would be an excellent choice, the fact that he did not graduate from RPI probably eliminates him from consideration.

I'm not sure, but I don't believe that Carter has a degree either.

He said that he didn't turn pro in '85 so that he could be the first in his family to graduate. For course, that doesn't mean that he did.

Did you expect anyone else?

No, but I did expect the process to play out a bit differently and over a longer period of time. I assumed they would probably take the coming school year to go through the routine of a national search, bringing a short list of interviewees to campus, etc. although I thought the job was always his if he wanted it. But this seems to have skipped all the formalities and just jumped right to the conclusion.
