Yes, they can. I do not believe that the late Nathan Marsters ever wore an A on the jersey, but the last goalie to do so that I can remember was Joel Laing in his senior season.

Come to think of it, the announcement of co-captains in 11-12 was fairly early as well. Perhaps there's some superstition behind it. ;)

And for those getting ready to whine about 10-11, the exception is justified under the fact we did not have a "new captain".

Do we have any confirmation that Bubela actually got here? If he did, it seems that despite not having an official roster, we know what we're dealing with.

RVD is probably the most knowledgeable person on here when it comes to this team in the present day, and if he says Bubela has come back, I believe it to be true.

Oh, I trust rvd too. I'm just saying that the last update was that he "flies in tomorrow," and that was three days ago.

I have evidence from a reliable source that he is back. Of course, with Photoshop, one can never be certain. :)

Haven't heard of any airline incidents... Do you think he's in the gulag at customs or something? :eek: I'm sure he made it just fine.

I dunno. Just making sure that he didn't make the flight to say "Sorry coach, I'm gonna make a million bucks in the KHL," or something like that.

Wouldn't it be easier to do that over the telephone? The kid doesn't play for Clarkson, so I'm sure he's smart enough to at least figure that one out if that were the case...

In this hypothetical situation, Bubela is showing the courtesy to at least let Appert and the team know in person.
