RPI 2013/14: Sunny, with a slight chance of drivel

Made it up to RPI for the first time last night. Happy we got out of there with a point after a dreadful first. Haggerty impressed me. I seemed to be worried every time he touched the puck. See you in a couple weeks down here

He was very impressive. One of the top players in the ECAC. I think we should disappointed that Rand didn't get a Connecticut kid as talented as that to come to Quinnipiac.

Re: RPI 2013/14: Sunny, with a slight chance of drivel

I watched the RPI-Q game tonight on my big screen TV! I played the free RPI-TV live video via the free YouTube Live feed through my Roku (using the free iPad/iPhone app Twonky). Set up was very easy. Enjoyed it very much. Has anyone else tried this?
Alot sure has changed since the days when wmht channel 17 would broadcast a few games a year in the 70s .Rabbit ears, poles and a snowy picture was the best you could hope for.

Win today and earn a 3pt weekend that's not all bad.

Anything less now would be a major disappointment and a letdown. We played an extremely good team very evenly last night-Princeton has some talented players but they are most definitely not the calibre of QU. They can give us some rrouble but if we cannot beat them in our building-then something is not right. As usual, just my 2¢

Or the days when WGY(810) radio would carry a game and if the wind was blowing from the north I could listen to it fade in and out down here in NJ.:)

Believe it or not, I still have an old VHS tape from one of those Channel 17 games. It's a 13-0 blowout of Union back when they were a D3 team. I still find a way to go back and watch that game every once in a while... :)

The Zalewski hooking call was the worst I have seen in awhile.

First hurdle is cleared, beating Princeton. Short bench or not, we've had problems with them. Obviously the game in NJ will be telling of how we are doing against this. We play them again January 10th.

Does anyone know if Miller was a healthy scratch this weekend or is he injured?

For anyone who can't get enough hockey, the Selects Academy U18 Team plays the Nichols School @ HFH tomorrow (Sun.) 11:15am. I watched their game today @ Messa-of-a-rink, Selects won 3-0. BTW, if you were at this afternoon's RPI game you may have noticed the Nichols Team in attendance (all wearing the green tutes). Selects stayed in Schenectady to catch the Q-Pac game. Their Coach is a Q Grad.

FYI, Selects is ranked 12th in the country at 35-5-3...... http://myhockeyrankings.com/rank.php?a=1&v=118

I heard that his brother was getting married this weekend. I would assume that is why he wasn't there, but can't confirm.

Princeton should be healthier for that one-and as usual will come out forechecking strongly. We will have to play somewhat more consistent and with less defensive mistakes than today to do as well. I would expect to see Bonar in goal for all 3 periods then. There are still good seats available for those who want to come down.
