Interesting that Jake Wood, who would have been out Friday anyway due to suspension, is out for 4-6 after knee surgery. The forward depth we had is dwindling away.

4-6 weeks sounds like an arthroscopic clean up of either a slightly torn meniscus or a partial tear of one of the collateral ligaments. I hope that is all it is-I had that done several times myself and the recovery is usually 100% and can be very quick in a young healthy individual(see Joan Benoit a couple weeks before the Los Angeles Olympic Marathon). Never want to see any injury but it most certainly could have been worse.

Re: RPI 2013/14: Sunny, with a slight chance of drivel

Thats called forechecking. Unless the definition has changed, a trap is a style of 1-3-1 or 1-2-2 originating in your offensive end and going through the neutral zone.
I agree. Here is a link to the left-wing lock as a forecheck if you're interested.. apparently the Red Wings did this back in the early 00's. U does certain variations on this. The left-wing lock is also a description for a neutral zone trap with a 2-3 alignment, but neutral zone traps haven't been used much in recent years by much of anyone.

Good Gravy Ed.....read you're friggin' column before it goes to press.... Last Nov. 30, the Engineers outskated, outhustled and outshot (39-21) Princeton but couldn’t beat the Tigers in a 2-2 draw. In fact, RPI needed a goal by defenseman Curtis Leonard with less then four minutes remaining in overtime to gain the deadlock.

He's probably thinking of the game in New Jersey that we dominated and lost by three.

Constantly missing the net is domination. Right. I suppose you'll next be telling us about how you went hunting all weekend and got nothing.

I watched the RPI-Q game tonight on my big screen TV! I played the free RPI-TV live video via the free YouTube Live feed through my Roku (using the free iPad/iPhone app Twonky). Set up was very easy. Enjoyed it very much. Has anyone else tried this?

Made it up to RPI for the first time last night. Happy we got out of there with a point after a dreadful first. Haggerty impressed me. I seemed to be worried every time he touched the puck. See you in a couple weeks down here

I have been watching using the RPITV feed through youtube played through my BluRay player to the big screen. Plays beautifully but the time delay from the radio broadcast(which I try to listen to on the web) is over 45 seconds. Last night, RPITV had it so you could play the video this way and still listen to WRPI audio-just like being there!!!

English only :D I'd be happy with a point against that team.

They've always simulcasted WRPI. ;)
