Not grasping at straws, the fight is between Bodie and Higgs until the RPI bench escalates things with Haggerty and DeVito leading the charge. Neither team looks good and to put any more blame on one team than the other is woefully misinformed.

an rpi player got cross checked in the freakin' throat as the game ends...how the hell do you expect the other team to react to that? just completely ignore it? if there's no cheap shot cross check, nothing happens. you can blame rpi for their role in it, but you can't say union doesn't deserve more of the blame.

Especially considering the player in question had his neck cut by a skate three years ago.

Bodie incident was carried over from the last matchup against RPI when he got charged by Haggerty and at the same time hit on the way down by Higgs. This happened on the first shift after Union made it 4-1 late in the third. There's a history here of stuff over the last few years between the teams that led up to this which unfortunately haven't been quite as publicized as the fight that happened last night. Same crap BC has been facing with teams taking runs at Gaudreau. The way Union went off last night had been building for a while. I'm not proud of what my team did last night people need to understand that the incident didn't happen in a vacuum and to judge the Union program as a whole for what happened last night is misguided.

Oh, wait, he's suddenly back on the Appert bandwagon? This guy's got more mood swings than a teenage girl.

So he conveniently waited until after the end of the game they lost in to carry out his revenge? Seems legit.

It's good to see that the fans of neither RPI nor Union who have posted on any of a multitude of threads here predominately side with RPI. This is even the case at eLynah where the Burgdoerfer incident still comes up every once in a while.

It's been agrees since I had seen a post by Hokydad. I had thought he had left, but apparently he has left his scent on other threads in the interim.

That's not true, Higgs had every right to back at Bodie. The situation only escalates when all the RPI players coming off the bench decide to take runs at Union players that aren't even involved in the initial scrum and the mob mentality took over. Bo Dolan wasn't even on the ice for the last shift of the game but as soon as he gets on the ice he starts flying around trying to fight anyone in a garnet uniform.
