Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. III

Neal is the real deal! The top three incoming scoring recruits should give us plenty of offense. I can't say they will be able to fit right in immediately but I don't expect it to take long before they make their presence known.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. III

On Saturday, the USNTDP U18 Team defeated the Chicago Steel 8-1. Ryan Haggerty had two goals and an assist. He was named #1 star. :) http://ushl.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1341448

Haggerty's line is now 26-3-6-9-13.

I think that Haggerty didn't appreciate that you weren't including him. :p

Gives me the chills watching it-I am an old fashined hockey guy-to me, that is hockey! I like this kid already. Especailly after viewing the BU game yesterday-we need toughness to play against these rock em sock em teams. The last 5 minutes of the game showed we cannot back down from anyone.

He's got to show me a lot more to make onto the higher echelon of scorers. Right now we have 3 top notch offensive threats coming in. I would love to make it 4. He has a couple more games like that and i will move him up into the top group.:)

Remember that Haggerty is a 93, while JL and McGowan are 90's and Neal is a 91. Assuming that his work ethic is good, I am not concerned at all about him.

You can also say that Haggerty plays against much tougher competition as well. Im looking forward to seeing him play down in Hamden next month. I have a feeling he's been playing 3rd-4th line with some penalty kill duties for the U-18 team this year.
