Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

good to see Jake Wood in HFH tonight. As a reminder his Gunnery team will play against Alb.Aca. Sunday morning (11:15) Jan. 22 @ HFH.

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

A post from Hockey's Future listing Devito as an NHL draft prospect http://hfboards.com/showpost.php?p=32397577&postcount=4 (RPI University?). At also mentions Bradley and Haggerty.

Three fight videos of Devito

Thanks to RH,RB and Turk for their work on recruit thread. Can't watch this enough... he's a scrapper!!!!

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

Looking at the boxscore it appears Melanson got an assist on Delbartons first and sixth goals.

I had received a phone call from someone at the game who was watching for him-thanks for updating with the second assist.

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

NHL Central Scouting released its mid-term rankings and no current RPI players or recruits are listed. :( There are a few players listed that RPI was in the running for at one time (#28-DiGiuseppe, #31-Nieves and #175-Selman) and one known potential recruit in Alex Rauter at #172.

Heres the North American list for goaltenders for anyone thats interested in reading.

Add Daniel Altshuller #6 goalie is one we were supposedly interested in.

Not that it really matters but RPI wasnt the only ECAC school not to have a player listed Colgate, Princeton, SLU and Union were the others. Heres the short list of future ECAC players that did make it:

Skaters:
60-Brian Hart-Harvard
98-Devin Tringale-Harvard
101-Gavin Stoick-Cornell
106-Kevin Roy-Brown
114-Reece Willcox-Cornell
129-Matt Beattie-Yale
145-Adam Gilmour-Q'pac
150-Peter Quenneville-Q'pac
162-Grant Opperman-Dartmouth
164-Jimmy Vesey-Harvard
184-James De Haas-Clarkson
205-Jason Stephanik-Q'pac

Goaltenders:
19-Alex Lyon-Yale

A fairly Ivy dominated list, which seems to be the norm as of late. I guess it explains why theres almost twice as many Ivy alums currently in the NHL then there are non-ivy alums.

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

redhead,

I was going to say something about Ivy recruits, but then I realized that I would be going off topic. :D

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

Given that the game was sparsely attended, I suppose no one else noticed the presence of a potential recruit at the Field House Tuesday. Looked to be wearing a prep school jacket while following our scratches. Looked to be maybe 5'10" or so?

that was Jake Wood.

Considering that most players are actually shorter than their listed height, has he grown?
