Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

Not that RPI really used the team for recruiting but the CD Selects are in the process of being sold and moved to Fairfield County in CT. I wonder if Salfi is just calling it quits or if its possible the team is being told to leave the fieldhouse after the season is over and have no place else to play. This was from USHR last week:
I was going to stick around the HFH after the women's game tonight to see the NH Monarchs play CD but figured I'd seen enough 10-1...17-3 blowouts on CD this year. Too bad about the move though, I sure enjoy seeing the quality of players that having the CD's here affords me to see.

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

Nothing really, just the one word that was left out of the sentence.. .(AS) for AA playing @ HFH......it was in response to RB's question about them playing games at HFH. They only play 1 game there.
Thanks. As usual, I was reading too fast in an effort to catch up on what I missed.:D

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

reading Oct.'s NY Hockey Journal....there's a story about a player on Des Moines, not Kasdorf, with some words from their HC Reg Simon (who's also the HC of the US Team w/Bradley & Bourbonnais)........"Simon, who said he believes that low-scoring hockey is 'disgusting'....I want to win 6-4 and not 2-1 he said". After reading that, maybe by the end of the year if "Kazzy's" GA seems high that might be one of the contributing factors. BTW Team USA plays tonight against Sweeden @ 10:30....

Interesting about Des Moines coach.

I have a window open already for the Team USA game. :)

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

I would guess a top prospect would want to go to a team that has a good chance of making the NCAA tournament to be on display and get a little more exposure.

I have actually only had limited ability to check the threads over the past 2 weeks, but this was my train of thought exactly (wondering if or how the teams start may impact recruiting). Christ, we are SO close to being a 8-1 team versus a 1-8 team.....
