Re: RPI 2010 Off-season thread V: Captain Kennedy and the A-Team

He was the play to be named later in the trade for Luke Curadi. :D

I guess that it can be mentioned now. The rumor that I heard from two apparently unconnected sources is that Jim Montgomery finally figured out that he was only allowed two imports and he had three, the others being UVM recruit Girgensons and the goalie Tiechroeb. Quinn was the odd man out. I also heard other rumors besides for Penticton as his destination.

The swim shall not be denied! :D

Just a thought, if he put on 20 pounds, might he have lost a step?...

No. Reports were that Jerry was working out with Zach Parise earlier this summer. (Parise is one of the fastest players in the NHL). Jerry and his folks are smarter than to bulk up in the wrong ways.

My scouts tell me that no one has a faster "first step" to the fridge than Doc D...:D

And I can go left or right equally well-I can reach for my drink with either hand (although I did spill a lovely vodka gimlet last night at dinner at a place called the Park Avenue Bistro-serves the best Kobe Beef burgers on the planet:))

...and you thought you'd get away from the swim...:p

I am surprised that Quinn doesn't appear yet on the Penticton blog. There is also nothing in the BCHL forum although someone should soon find Heisenberg's entry. Maybe I will post it there if I can remember my password.

Ralph - where am I missing the Heisenberg listing? The RPI list still says DBQ...

Go to the BCHL page. Chris Heisenberg removed him from the USHL page and added him to the BCHL page, but he didn't change his RPI listing.

I'll have to take your word for it, I've looked three times can't seem to find it...of course it doesn't help that CH doesn't alphabetize. :p

It's gone. He's back to Dubuque.

He must have refused the trade. :D

Not sure any of us can believe what we see/hear/read from anyone at this point. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that none of us can ever know. Even traditionally well informed sources might not have the correct story. All I know is the parents have to protect their boy's best interests and it's not easy in the 'shark tank'. I admire the way the Quinns have handled the ups and downs so far and I'm sure they'll let the world know what they decide. I, for one, am sad that Quinn will not be in DBQ...
