Everyone recovered from the crazy month we had back in March? God**** that trophy's gonna look nice in the case.

Hey, does this mean the D-III women's Belt is ours forever? =)

Let me churn up the rumor mill. I've heard:
  • RIT basically inherited Niagara's schedule for 2012-13.
  • RIT vs Michigan in both men's and women's hockey in 2013-14.

Thoughts?

I think we inherited the conference schedule for sure. As far as the OOC games, I don't think so. I hear we had a decent schedule with mostly D1 teams and a few D3 teams. I would say that we would keep as many of the D1 games as planned, but maybe shift some dates around to make everything work out.

RIT had 26 games booked with D1 teams early in the new year but at that time, none with Penn State or Lindenwood. My understanding is that it is now up to 34 games as those 8 games (2 x home/away with each team) were mandated to be included by CHA scheduling requirements. I believe the schedule is now complete, but have not seen it to confirm.

It would be interesting to know what Michigan as an opponent for a D-I women's team in 2013-14 means. If the Wolverines are going D-I as well, that would be great. I hope it isn't a case of needing to schedule a club team to get enough games.

According to hockey reps yesterday at the womens hockey celebration:
-schedule is complete
-all 34 D1 games w/sacred heart included in the 34
-no D3 games
-took over niagara's conference schedule
-Pres Destler said princeton and yale were coming for brick city weekend

Not sure where you've come up with the michigan thing.

Any idea when RIT will release it's schedule?

Re: >> RIT Tigers Offseason 2012: Basking in the Glow <<

The men typically release theirs late June/Early July - I wouldn't expect the women's before then.
