Wow. Two years in a row where Blue Cross doesn't have Air Force or RIT playing. How things have changed. That being said, if Niagara gets into the NCAAs again I'll be real ****ed.

For me this is kind of offset by AFA not even making the BCA :)

What restaurant would you suggest for after the game dinner next Friday. .? Not sure where we are staying so location isn't a problem as long as it's in Rochester.
It's the first time ever for RMU and hope they give a good account of themselves.

What kind of food are you into? Dinosaur BBQ or Sticky Lips BBQ would both be high recommendations if you like to eat delicious dead animals..

Not too surprising, RIT did not put anyone on the 3 all AHA teams. In spite of his plus/minus, I thought Colavecchia might get on 3rd team.

I think it about summed the season up when you top point getter is a minus 21... OUCH!

Pretty much my opinion. I guess if I had to pick one team, I'd pull for Robert Morris, followed by M'hurst, then Canisius -- though rooting for that last one would be while holding my nose, of course...

I too saw him getting that sub and I'm certain it was Roast Turkey.

Now, back to the hockey.....oh wait!

Just got a note from DeMikes, he is a Steak & Cheese guy. I regret my error and the fact that this is what we are left to talk about. Will baseball season just start!

Also DeMike is thrilled that the board still remembers him...

My wife tells me it's humble pie.

When traveling to Rochester I try to stay at the Hyatt downtown and walking to the BCA. If you are a veteran you can get a little break on the room fare too. Komey is right, Dinosaur BBQ is right there between the Hyatt and the BCA and is a great place to eat if you like BBQ. Some of their booths look out over the falls so if you are lucky you get a nice view too. Some years I have not been able to get a room at the Hyatt as it was booked, apparently lots of weddings in that place. My second choice has been the Holiday Inn Express in Greece, NY. It's on the outskirts of Rochester but for that reason I always seem to be able to get a room. Whats great about that place is that the Distillery is right next door. The Distillery is a great Sports Bar, lots of TV's, lot's going on, and you can walk to it from the hotel. Last time I was at the Holiday Inn they gave us a discount coupon to the Distillery as well. The Holiday Inn has a free breakfast in the morning too where you can grab hot coffee and a quick bite before heading out. Best of luck at the BCA.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Final Game at Ritter/Playoffs <<<<<

He played well on Friday night. I saw our Glads team Prez in the tunnel after the game and he specifically mentioned him, asking me (in a kind of rhetorical way), "how did I like #2 tonight?" Like I said, he played very well in his first game.

Spivak has been a solid defender for us all season. Seems to be a good team guy - I am very pleased to have him on the Glads.

Of course, that said, I hope y'all understand that I still cannot stand any of these guys when they have on the Tiggers sweater. :D
Both played well at the Elmira game last night. The Gwinnett "D" held Elmira to only 4 shots in the first period, with a game total of 19 shots for the Jackals. 'On-paper' before the game, I was expecting a very evenly-matched contest, but Gwinnett just dominated every aspect of the game. It was kind-of tough for me to watch, since I went to see a couple D-III boys play for the Jackals (Strale from EC, and Ciccarello from Nazareth), but it was a bonus to see a few RIT gents on the ice as well.

Cheers,
~TTF

Before and after the games near Blue Cross, I'll agree that Dino BBQ is the way to go. Awesome food and a large beer selection. You may be in for a long wait though, it being a Friday night.

Not sure if you spend much time in the Rochester area, but if you get a chance try to get your hands on a garbage plate as well.

We made it ,my Garmin decided to play a joke on me, took me to the
wrong part of town. It took us to an address that wasn't entered.
The only thing it didn't do was laugh when it told me we had arrived.
I hope we have better luck finding parking near the BC arena.
Thanks for the heads up about Dino's.

But not #44!

Correct! This season he caused enough damage to the RIT team and grief to the RIT fans! ;)

Well it looks like Cansius is trying to repeat last season. I won't repeat what someone over on the Bentley thread called them after their heartbreaking loss to Canisius...

We'll I can try to pass along how you feel about 44" did you know
Is a AHA student athlete with a 4'0 avg not just a pretty face.
T hey very nearly let it get away tonight,
I took in the Mercyhurst game, I've never seen such a selfish team.
They dominated passion time but would not pass once it was in the offensive zone

One of the reasons I switched to a Tom Tom. Seems if you touch the screen by mistake, your Garmin will take you to a different location and not tell you it switched the destination. Had it happen twice to me.
Was not impressed by Dinosaur in Syracuse. Neat place, neat experience, but nothing spectacular for food. What I am hearing about the Dino in Troy, NY is that the meat has a slight gas taste to it as they don't use wood fire, but gas fire to cook.
A co-worker said I have to try Mario's Italian Restaurant in Rochester.

No offense Romo with a 4.0 I am sure he is a great kid off the ice, got two in college myself and I know how important grades are. Injuries are part of hockey he just knocked our captain out for the majority of the season. It happens. Great win last night and I see your up in the championship game. Good luck the rest of the way.

Let's go Robert "Holy Cross" Morris.

Well we won an unbelievable season ,from the outhouse to the penthouse.
I m sorry to hear that your captain was injured. No one wants to see players hurt
We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return next year.
